A Sunnyside man pleaded guilty in Yakima County Superior Court last Friday to possession of a stolen motor vehicle and was sentenced to 33 months in prison and ordered to pay more than $27,000 in restitution.

James N. Dykes was driving a stolen vehicle on Dec. 1, 2008 when he was spotted by the owner of the vehicle. Sunnyside police responded and gave chase. Dykes was traveling at a high rate of speed along a canal bank in Sunnyside when he flipped the truck several times, totaling the vehicle.
