Dora Delia Birueta, 48, went to reunite with her father, Francisco Mora and mother, Aurora Salazar, Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2009.
She was born March 3, 1960 in Mercedes, Texas. She lived there until the family moved to Washington in 1969 and settled in Burlington. She graduated from Burlington Edison High School in 1978 and furthered her education with two years of college.
She moved to Sunnyside in 1980 to marry the love of her life, who was also her husband of 25 years, Manuel V. Birueta. She worked at the Washington State Migrant Council from 1978 to 1988 and finished her career at the regional hospital as a financial counselor from 1988 to 2004.
She had a huge heart, she loved and cared for many people. She treated everyone as if they were part of her family. She loved to spend time with her family by traveling, camping, barbeques and family gatherings. She always seemed to be the life of all gatherings. In her spare time she enjoyed being at the casino and playing bingo with friends.
She is survived by her children, Joseluis Birueta (Sofia), Jennifer Birueta (Adrian) and Brianna Ochoa; six grandchildren, Joseluis Jr., Tre, Yarissa, Hannah, Adriana and Jayden; her three sisters, Guadalupe Mungia (Fabian), Sylvia Cortez (Ramiro) and Nora Pacheco (Juan); one brother, Daniel Mora (Luisa); her special friend, Rogelio Solis; and numerous loving nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, compadres and comadres, godchildren and friends.
Her family gives special thanks to Sunnyside Davita for all of her dialysis care.
