This weekend the Washington State Patrol will be keeping an extra eye on traffic looking for those who've had a bit too much Super Bowl cheer.
Troopers will focus on those violations known to cause tragedy: speeding, aggressive driving and driving while impaired.
"We don't want to spoil anyone's fun," said WSP Chief John Batiste. "But getting in a collision is not the way to celebrate a major sporting event. Have a designated driver, a taxi, or call a friend."
In Yakima and Benton counties the State Patrol will have full staffing this weekend, plus two additional emphasis troopers in service.
