I liked reading the "Don't feed the beggars" column by Corey Russell last week. I agree wholeheartedly with that column.
I used to be one of those kind-hearted people who would pass out money until I found out that one of the people I gave money to goes all over the state with the same hard luck story, scamming people out of their hard earned money.
I have also seen so-called crippled people in wheelchairs in Yakima, who hop quickly into a nice car at the end of the day when their shift on the corner is over.
Don't let this happen in Sunnyside. Listen to Corey Russell and his suggestions. The local stores don't want the beggars there either. A nice thing to do is to report it to the store manager. I have done this before and they really thanked me for it.
If these people really wanted to work they know where the employment offices are.
