Edna M. Kern, 90, of Sunnyside died Saturday, March 21, 2009.

She was born on Dec. 15, 1918, in Lehr, N.D., the daughter of Adam and Margaret Krancler.

She was a member of the Grandview Assembly of God.

She is survived by two daughters, Shirley M. Kern and Pamela Karen Kern, both of Sunnyside; one son, Duane Kern (Shirley) of Walla Walla; four grandchildren; 11great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren with one on the way; two sisters, Viola Becker of Napoleon, N.D. and Delores Holzworth of Bismarck, N.D. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband William Kern; two great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Raymond Krancler, Irvin Krancler and Ruben Krancler.

Viewing and visitation will be held Thursday, March 26, 2009, from 1 to 5 p.m., at Smith Funeral Home in Sunnyside. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 27, 2009, at 11 a.m. at the Grandview Assembly of God with burial to follow at the Grandview Cemetery.
