Sunnyside market robbed at gunpoint

Last night at approximately 7:45 p.m. the Lincoln Market at 15th and Lincoln Avenue in Sunnyside was robbed.

According to police, the clerk was approached by a Hispanic male, believed to be between the ages of 20 and 25-years-old and approximately 5'6" to 5'8", and wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt.

The male had a revolver and demanded money from the clerk. He made off with an undisclosed amount of cash and fled down a side street.

Police searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect. A security tape is being reviewed at this time.

Police are asking anyone with knowledge of this crime to contact them at 837-2120.
