Banner Bank Robbed

Banner Bank in Sunnyside was robbed this morning, Friday, at approximately 11:30 a.m.

Police say an unknown female entered the bank wearing black sweatpants, a black sweatshirt, a blue bandana, black gloves and a yellow surgical mask.

The suspect presented a note to the teller demanding money and then displayed a firearm. After receiving an undisclosed amount of money the suspect fled.

No one was injured in the robbery.

Doug Bayne, vice president, director of marketing at Banner Bank, said no comment regarding the robbery would be issued.

"We're just happy the people are okay," he said. "We're going to let the police do their job."

The investigation is ongoing and police do not have any suspects at this time. Police are looking for a Hispanic female, 5 feet 5 inches, and between 120 and 130 lbs.
