Dolores Prisca Mendoza Villegas, 75, of Grandview, went to be with her heavenly Father on Saturday, Nov. 14, 2009, surrounded by her loving family.

Dolores was born May 1, 1934 in La Canada, Guanajuato, Mexico, the daughter of Esquiel and Bernadina (Luna) Mendoza.

Prisca received her education in Mexico before moving to Grandview in the 1940s.

She took pride in herself and all that she did.

Prisca worked as a crew boss for Dr. Rado and Don and Barbara Olmstead Jr.

She married Roy Villegas in Sunnyside.

She was a lady who treasured and was devoted to her friends.

Prisca was a member of the Guadalupanas in Grandview and also a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Sunnyside.

She loved to work, go out with her friends and enjoyed dining out at various restaurants in the Valley.

Prisca is survived by her husband, Roy Villegas of Sunnyside; one son, Juan Calva (Rosa) of Sunnyside; three grandchildren, Kimberly, Caine and Jacob Calva; one sister, Agustina Mendoza of Sunnyside.

She was preceded in death by her parents; seven brothers; and five sisters.

Viewing and visitation will be held today, Nov. 16, 2009, from 1 to 8 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 6 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home in Sunnyside. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Sunnyside, with burial to follow at Lower Valley Memorial Gardens in Sunnyside.
