Next Tuesday, Oct. 20, the Sunnyside Kiwanis Club will host a community candidates forum, open to all local residents.
All candidates seeking public office for the Sunnyside School Board, the Sunnyside City Council and the Sunnyside Port Commission have been invited to share their thoughts and plans with community residents at the forum.
Each candidate will be given five minutes to make a presentation. Within each group of candidates, speaking order will be chosen by random draw.
After all the candidates have spoken there will be an open question-and-answer session lasting approximately 30 minutes.
Jim Galbraith, a retired Sunnyside world problems teacher, will serve as the mediator at next Tuesday's candidates forum, which will start at 7 p.m. in the Sunnyside High School auditorium.
