Lady Vikes extend Highland to five games before succumbing

MABTON - Last night's 3-2 loss to Highland was a disappointment for the Lady Vikings.

Mabton won the first game of the match 25-21. It was a tight win, but the Lady Vikings were able to pull it out only to drop the next set 25-22 to the visitors.

The Scotties pulled out another 25-22 win in the third set, but Mabton rallied and held Highland to only 8 points in the fourth set for a 25-8 victory.

It all came down to the fifth and final game of the match.

The Scotties were able to stop the Vikings at nine points for a 15-9 win.

Mabton Coach Marty McCallum was unavailable for comment as of press time.

Mabton will travel to Naches Valley to face off with the Rangers tomorrow (Thursday).
