Two reports of gunfire reported in Lower Valley

The Yakima County Sheriff's Office has since yesterday (Monday) responded to two gunfire reports.

Just after 9 p.m. a resident in the 800 block of Stover Road near Grandview reported hearing five gunshots in the area. A check of the area produced no evidence of gunfire.

At about 10:30 p.m. deputies responded to the 800 block of Outlook Road near Outlook for a report of gunfire. The caller did not know if the shots were from a home or a car in the area. Another caller on D Street believed gunshots were heard from the direction of the Outlook Post Office, and a third caller reported seeing a vehicle leaving the 600 block of Outlook Road shortly after hearing gunfire.

Yakima County sheriff's deputies have also since yesterday responded to three suspicious situations, two malicious mischief incidents, two theft reports, a report of illegal street racing and a report of a DUI. Deputies also recovered two stolen vehicles.
