Jackson low scorer for Grandview girls

OTHELLO - The four members of the rebuilding Grandview High School girls golf team all finished within eight strokes of one another at yesterday's CWAC golf match, staged in Othello.

Low scorer for the Lady 'Hounds was Ashley Jackson. She carded a 149 on front and back nine scores of 70-79.

Second in for Grandview was Kayla Lucas with a 151 (76-75). The two other Grandview golfers, Natasha Lara and Taylor McKinney, had rounds of 154 (74-80) and 157 (76-81), respectively.

Team-wise, Grandview brought up the rear at the three-school match with an aggregate total of 611.

The host Othello Huskies, all of its four starters shooting under 100, won top team honors with a 379. Othello's Carolina Borba won medalist honors with a 92 (45-47).

Ellensburg, paced by Jessica Schademan's 110 (51-53), finished second in the team scoring with a 515.

Grandview's female linksters are scheduled to play again this coming Thursday in Ephrata.
