Annual BJ Miller Golf Tournament set for May 8

The annual BJ Miller Memorial Golf Tournament is set for Saturday, May 8, at Sunnyside's Black Rock Creek Golf Course. Play kicks off with a shotgun start at 11:30 a.m.

Format of play will be a four-person scramble. Participants will play 18 holes of golf, get drinks and prizes, and have a barbecue at the end of the tournament.

Miller died in a car accident on Oct. 13, 2007. An organ donor, Miller saved the lives of five people through the use of his organs.

Registrations for the golf tournament are being accepted until Thursday, May 6. Cost for the tournament is $60 per person ($240 for a team of four). A portion of each registration will be donated to the BJ Miller Memorial Scholarship Fund.

Additional donations may be made to the BJ Miller Memorial Scholarship Fund by adding the amount to the registration fee.
