'F' as in Frank

One soul at a time

Last Sunday and this one are special for our church as some of the youths in the pre-teen ministry, Club J12, are making decisions to follow Jesus and be baptized.

It's exciting to see them make this choice so young in life.

Their families are key areas of positive influence. Without their support and encouragement, the youngsters would have many more hurdles in following Jesus.

It's also exciting to see the fruit that's developing from the church's children's ministry. These children have been influenced by several people from the church during children's worship and during other outreach fellowship such as Wednesday nights and VBS.

In addition, generations of folks in the church's spiritual family are serving as mentors and role models for the youths.

All in all, it's a team effort that's making an eternal difference in these young lives and in God's kingdom.

This is why I'm in the ministry, to see lives changed and to be part of a team that God uses to bring about the change.

The youths know that the decision they're making is just the beginning of a life-long journey in following God.

It's a lifelong journey that hopefully will see them be part of a team effort that God uses to change other lives, maybe even within their family or neighborhood.

Our church is just one of many in the Lower Valley that God is using to change lives one soul at a time.

As those churches can attest, it's great to be on the winning team, God's team!
