Wet December predicted for Lower Valley

The good news is that Sunnyside appears headed for a break from temperatures in the teens and even lower.

That's because the National Weather Service forecasts near normal temperatures during the month of December.

The bad news is that weather forecasters are also calling for above normal precipitation during December, which translates into more snow and/or rain.

Normal highs for Sunnyside during the month of December fall from 41.7 degrees at the start of the month to 38.8 degrees at the end of December. Normal lows fall from 26.7 degrees to 24.6 degrees. The 30-year normal precipitation is 1.14 inches.
