22-year-old Grandview man dies in rollover

GRANDVIEW - The Washington State Patrol reports that 22-year-old Ricardo Cesar Uribe of Grandview died late last night in a one-vehicle rollover accident.

Excessive speed and the suspected over-consumption of alcohol, according to WSP troopers, are being blamed for the death.

According to the WSP, about half an hour before midnight Tuesday evening Uribe was driving a 2005 Dodge Ram pick-up southbound on Wilson Highway, about a mile and a half north of Grandview, when the accident occurred. Troopers say Uribe's pick-up truck sped off the west side of the roadway and rolled multiple times, coming to rest in a vineyard. Not wearing a safety restraint, Uribe was ejected from the vehicle while it was rolling.

The victim was rushed to Sunnyside Community Hospital, where WSP troopers say he died.
