Grandview man pleads guilty stemming from May 2009 gunfight

A Grandview man has been sentenced to more than four years in prison after pleading guilty to second degree assault in Yakima County Superior Court this past Wednesday.

Victor Garcia Flores's charges stem from a gunfight last May in Grandview in which one man was shot in the leg, police say.

Also yesterday, a charge of unlawful possession of a firearm against Flores was dropped.

He was sentenced to 58 months in prison with credit for time served to be announced. Flores was also sentenced to 18 months of community custody following his release from prison.
