Bos records hole-in-one

Sunnyside's Justin Bos kicked off his 2010 golf season in fine fashion yesterday.

On a rare winter day when the weather cooperated, allowing linksters to take to the local golf course, Bos scored a hole-in-one.

Playing at Sunnyside's Black Rock Creek Golf Course, Bos aced the par-3, 12th hole. Set up on Thursday to play 112 yards in length, the former Columbia Basin College men's golf team member teed off with a 54-degree wedge and stuck the ball about four feet past the pin. It spun back and found the bottom of the cup.

Witnessing the ace were playing partners Troy Monholland, Ray Shumley and Art Pittillo.

Bos finished his 18-hole round with a 1-under-par 71. He carded a 37 on the front side, netting a 34 after the clubhouse turn.
