PROSSER - Airfield Estates Winery, in partnership with Tuscany restaurant in Prosser, will host a memorial dinner for Andrew Jones, the son of Airfield Estates employee Linda Corpron, on Friday, July 16, at 6:30 p.m.
Jones was a local chef in the Yakima Valley who was the winner of the 2009 Mid-Columbia Fresh Chef award. He died on May 29, 2010.
Proceeds from the dinner will benefit the surviving family of Jones, his wife Nicole and their two small children, Daya Mia Kate and Xander William.
The dinner will consist of five courses, including Dungeness crab risotto paired with Airfield's 2009 white blend, seared duck salad paired with Airfield's 2008 Riesling, tomato basil bisque with Cognac glaze paired with Airfield's 2008 Bombshell Red, Kobe beef filet with blue cheese and Merlot reduction paired with Airfield's 2008 Merlot and a grand finale surprise dessert paired with Airfield's 2009 late harvest Gew
Some auction items on tap for Friday's event include an overnight stay at Desert Wind Winery, a Bern's gift basket, a gift certificate to the Cozy Rose B&B, a Bon Vino's dinner for six and more.

People wanting to donate auction items can do so by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. All proceeds from the dinner and auction will benefit the surviving family. Additional monetary donations may be made at the dinner or at any U.S. Bank under the Andy Jones Memorial account.
Airfield Estates Winery will donate 20 percent of all retail wine sales sold during the evening.
