I'm upset about the dog shooting on 14th Street. I know this dog and it's about as menacing as a box full of kittens.
I thought that the police were supposed to use the night stick first followed by the tazer and as a last choice the gun.
The next question I have is why shoot it twice? What if a kid was following the dog out the door? The child could have also been shot being both of the shots were toward the house.
I don't know the name of the officer but don't think he responded with the correct action. The dog did come out of the house, he wasn't barking, he likes to run up to people looking for treats, he is not mean nor has he ever been mean.
I think the officer made a poor choice and was a little too trigger happy, in my eyes.
Some of the dogs in town I wouldn't have gave it a second thought but this dog has never been called about as being aggressive or attacking a person.
