Albert Garza Jr., 73, of Lampasas, Texas and a longtime Sunnyside resident went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, May 26, 2010, after a long illness.

He was born June 13, 1936 in Warden, Texas to Albert Garza Sr. and Paula (Rodriguez) Garza. He would have turned 74 , this June 13.

He spent most of his years working in agriculture.

He loved the outdoors, camping, barbeques, fishing, but most of all he loved being with his family.

Albert is survived by his ex-wife and mother of his children, Lile Garza; one brother, Frank Garza of Austin, Texas; five sons, Robert (Sonia) Garza and Rudy (Ann) Garza both of Lampasas, Ruben Garza of Abilene, Texas, Albert Garza Jr. III of Colorado and Ross Garza of Houston, Texas; three daughters, Yolanda and Cissy Garza and Esther Elizabeth (David) S. Garza of Sunnyside; four grandchildren, Debbie (Rigo) Salas of Yakima, Junior Salas, Vanessa (Manuel) Alvarado and Javy (Maria) Alvarado all of Sunnyside; 16 great-grandchildren in Washington and 16 great-grandchildren in Texas; 25 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews in Texas.

He will be missed but never forgotten.

Mass of Christian Burial was held May 28, 2010 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lampasas, with burial at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lampasas.
