Sunnyside Rotary seeks raffle support to benefit swim team

The Sunnyside Noon Rotary Club is looking for sponsors of this year's raffle drawing that will support the Sunnyside swim team.

According to Sunnyside Noon Rotary Club member Julie Schilperoort, this is a great opportunity for Sunnyside businesses to support their community and promote their business at the same time.

The big prizes this year for the raffle are a four-wheeler and an iPod Touch.

The Rotary club is looking for donations between $100 and $500. For businesses donating $500, Schilperoort said they will be listed as sponsors for the four-wheeler. Those investing $250 will be listed as sponsors for the iPod Touch.

Any business that donates money will have its name printed on the raffle tickets.

The swim team and the Noon Rotary Club split the profits of the raffle, but the swim team is guaranteed at least $1,500.

The swim team uses the money to pay for swim team coaches, swim equipment, ribbons and trophies.

This year the Sunnyside Sharks will host the Mid-Valley League AAU Swim Team Championships over the July 30-Aug. 1 weekend.

Any businesses interested in donating to the raffle can call Schilperoort at 839-2244 or contact her through email at
