Phyllis E. Ogden, 83, of Grandview died on Saturday, March 20, 2010, in Sunnyside.

She was born Aug. 7, 1926 in Seattle, the daughter of Ralph and Edith (Brown) Hardesty.

She received her education in Seattle, before moving to Grandview in 1965.

She is survived by her daughter, Sharyl Buehler of Millcreek; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren;, two sisters, Ada Wilson of Gig Harbor and Dorothy Marshall of California; and two brothers, Harvey Hardesty of Arlington and Jerry Hardesty of Marysville.

She was preceded in death by her two husbands, John Hansen and Glen Ogden; one son, Peter Hardesty; one sister, Gwen Hill; and one brother, John "Jack" Hardesty.

At Phyllis's request there will be no formal funeral services.

Those wishing to honor her memory may contribute to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Smith Funeral Home in Sunnyside is in charge of arrangements.
