Interim administrator given thumbs up to retain title at Grandview's City Hall

GRANDVIEW - Grandview's interim city administrator, Cus Arteaga, will retain that title for a longer period of time in addition to his role as the city's public works director.

Mayor Norm Childress last night, Monday, explained to the city council that he would like to retain Arteaga in the interim post for a longer period of time.

"I'd like to continue with the status quo as long as we can," Childress said. The mayor noted Arteaga is doing a "great job" and that there are multiple projects he is handling right now.

Council agreed with the idea, which means the city will delay its search for a new city administrator.

"He's doing fine," Childress said. "I have confidence in him."
