For the second time in less than a month thieves have made off with supplies used for programs offered by Sunnyside's Promise.
The first incident was last month at the Lucky 7 Bike Shop, and just yesterday (Wednesday) a theft at the Sunnyside Community Center was reported to police. Sticky hands struck again, taking from the community center an Xbox and a Wii gaming system.
Sunnyside police were also alerted to the theft of a purse stolen from a vehicle in the 200 block of South Sixth Street yesterday.
A resident in the 600 block of Woods Road reported finding her home ransacked yesterday. Several items were reported stolen.
Also since yesterday officers have responded to a 9-1-1 hang-up call, four automatic alarm calls, four animal problems, two reported DUIs, a reported harassment incident, two juvenile problems, a loud music call, a report of a missing child, a parking problem, five suspicious activity calls, a report of a threatening incident and nine traffic calls. Officers have served three arrest warrants and provided two agency assists, as well as three citizen assists.
