Robert (Bob) L Fox Sr., of Sunnyside passed away on Thursday, Nov. 4, 2010.

He was born Nov. 11, 1939.

Bob lived in various places across the U.S. as a child. His parents settled in the Sunnyside and Outlook area.

He attended Sunnyside schools, graduating from Sunnyside High School in 1958. After graduating, he joined the Marines and was stationed in San Francisco on the Treasure Island area.

On July 9, 1960 he returned to Sunnyside and married his high school sweetheart, Dolores Dahl.

They went back to San Francisco in order for Bob to finish his stint in the Marines. While there on Sept. 21, 1961 their daughter Lorrie was born. When Bob finished his four years with the Marines they moved back home to the Sunnyside area.

On May 5, 1963 their son Bobby was born.

He worked many jobs in his lifetime but his career was 33 years as an insurance agent for Farmers Insurance in Sunnyside.

He is survived by his daughter, Lorrie (Randy) Wesselius; one son, Bobby (Deadean) Fox; grandchildren, Sarah Bussey, Dusty (Mandy) Fox, Jacob (Melissa) Wesselius and Nikki Fox; three brothers, Bill, Dave and Don; and one sister, Betty; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Dolores; one brother, Jim Fox; and his parents, Dave and Helen Fox.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2010, at 1 p.m., at Lower Valley Memorial Gardens in Sunnyside. Lunch will follow at Eagles in Sunnyside.
