Herman "Herm" Tollefson, 67, of Sunnyside passed away on Saturday, Nov. 6, 2010, peacefully at his home surrounded by his loved ones.

In visiting Sunnyside in 1985 Herm and Laura fell in love with the community and decided to make it their home. Herman worked at Grandview Healthcare for many years in maintenance and also considered the residence and staff part of his family.

Herm devoted his life to helping the elderly and raising his family.

His day began with The Price is Right.

He sang in the church choir and had a passion for music, cars, baseball, fishing and camping.

He enjoyed bowling, playing music, drums and his harmonica. Herm loved to fish and share with everyone how he caught "the big one". He also loved to tell jokes and kid around with his family and friends.

He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Laura Tollefson; three daughters, Michelle (Cloise) Orand, Jennifer (Lupe Maldonado) Garcia, Amy (Adrian Martinez) Tollefson; one son, Lee Frontz; grandchildren, Stefan, Christopher, Alex, Savanna, Lexi, Dylan, Aniyah and Dezmon; his brothers; his sisters; numerous loved ones; his neighbors with whom he enjoyed sitting on the patio with and visiting.
