Who's minding the local store?

We are certainly being well served by Sunnyside Finance Director Byron Olson...or not!

His solution to the recession that is profoundly impacting American citizens has been to have Sunnyside raise its property taxes. Why would he suggest more burden to businesses struggling to keep employees during these hard times? Why would he burden employees of those companies who are concerned about their mortgages or concerned they will become one of the growing list of new victims of property repossession?

Although we stand behind our fire department, is it reasonable for city council to grant them a raise at the expense of those taxpayers who are struggling for financial existence?

Why did Councilwoman Hancock delay the vote on property tax increases until after the election?

Who is watching the "Sunnyside store" for us? Who in city hall is looking out for the best interest of the residents of Sunnyside?
