A Sunnyside man is currently under suspicion by the Sunnyside Police Department after it was reported he raped a 2-year-old child at his home. The incident was reported to Sunnyside police yesterday (Tuesday) at about 7:15 p.m. and police located the man shortly after. The case is currently under investigation by Sunnyside police.
Also since yesterday three thefts have been reported to Sunnyside officers. Tires were reported stolen from a carport in the 1400 block of East Gregory Avenue, items from a vehicle in the 200 block of East Linden Way were reported stolen and an adult female shoplifter was detained by Walmart employees.
This past Monday a burglary was reported in the 1700 block of Cascade Way at about 8:15 p.m. A stove was reported stolen in the incident.
Police have also since this past Monday responded to two 9-1-1 calls, four automatic alarm calls, 10 animal problem calls, three disorderly conduct incidents, two fights, two reports of harassment, a report of an intoxicated person, four juvenile problem calls, a missing person report, a runaway report, 10 suspicious activity calls, four traffic calls, a report of a trespasser and two vandalism reports. Also since Monday, police have served five arrest warrants and two court orders, as well as provided three agency assists.
