Library offers Spring Break fun

Students are on spring break this week and the Sunnyside Public Library invites them and their parents to join in a week of activity and fun.

From Monday, April 4, to Friday, April 8, the library will host arts and crafts from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. This is a drop-in craft program and all materials will be supplied by the library

Everyone working on a handcrafted, needlework project is welcome to attend Yarns at the Library on Tuesday, April 5, from 10:30 a.m. to noon.

This program does not offer lessons. It is a social gathering for people who are working on their own projects or plan on starting new ones.

Baby Lapsit will be held Thursday, April 7, at 11 a.m. This half-hour story time for children ages 2 and younger will feature story time, music and finger plays. It is followed by another half-hour of play time.

On Friday, April 8, the library will hold its preschool story hours from 10 to 10:45 a.m.

To finish out the week, the library will hold a family movie at the library on Saturday, April 9, at 2 p.m. The cost is free and popcorn is provided by Friends of the Library.
