Annual BJ Miller Memorial golf event set

The fourth annual BJ Miller Memorial Golf Tournament is set for Saturday, May 7, at Sunnyside's Black Rock Creek Golf Course.

Play kicks off with a shotgun start at 11:30 a.m.

Format of play will be a four-person scramble. Participants will play 18 holes of golf, receive drinks and prizes. Following the tourney, participants will enjoy a barbecue.

Miller, a Sunnyside High School graduate, died in a car accident in October 2007. An organ donor, Miller saved lives through the use of his organs.

Registrations for the golf tournament are being accepted until Friday, April 22. Cost for the tournament is $65 per golfer ($260 for a team of four). A portion of each registration will be donated to the BJ Miller Memorial Scholarship Fund.

Monetary donations can also be submitted by sending a check to the BJ Miller Legacy of Life Foundation, c/o John and Daria Miller at 1941 Scoon Road in Sunnyside.
