Debra "Debbie" Jean Tweeten, 54, of Mabton went to be with her Lord on Friday, April 1, 2011, at her home with her husband and sisters by her side.

She was born May 20, 1956 in Sunnyside, to Ed and Mary Lou Becker. As a child she moved all around, but found her home in Mabton for 36 wonderful years.

Debbie's hobbies were music, playing pool, dancing, antiques and her wonderful collection of salt and pepper shakers, but most of all she loved spending time with her

family and friends.

Debbie is survived by her loving husband and soulmate of 34 years, Glen Tweeten; one son, John, of Yakima; two sisters, Kari (Timio A.) Taylor and Sherrie McManus, all of Yakima; one brother, Kevin (Janell) Becker Sr. of Richland; two grandchildren, Felicia and JT Tweeten; numerous nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles; and her K-9 companion and friend "Tazi."

She was preceded in death by her son, Eric Tweeten; her father and mother, Ed and Toots.

The family would like to send a special thanks to Heidi and the caring staff of the Lower Valley Hospice for their loving care and support and a special thanks to Pastor Dave.

There will be a celebration of life held at a later date for loved ones at Debbie's home in Mabton.

In lieu of flowers, donations will be greatly appreciated c/o Glen Tweeten at the celebration of life.

Valley Hills Funeral Home in Sunnyside is in charge of arrangements.
