Interlocal agreemen inked with Grandview

The Sunnyside City Council had no problems approving an interlocal agreement with the city of Grandview this past Monday.

The agreement is for a chip seal project on Old Inland Empire Highway.

The city of Sunnyside will provide seven personnel, as well as equipment for the project.

The city of Grandview will reimburse the city of Sunnyside for what is estimated as a 10-hour project.

Grandview will also supply chip seal materials for the project, according to Sunnyside Public Works Director Jim Bridges.

The Sunnyside City Council agreed the partnership between the cities is positive and some expressed it is a win-win for both municipalities.

The agreement was approved by a unanimous 6-0 vote.
