Aaron L. Rivard, 45, of Benton City died on Saturday, July 30, 2011, at Kadlec Medical Center.

Aaron Rivard was born Feb. 27, 1966 in Renton.

He attended schools in Grandview.

On Oct. 29, 1984 he married Kimberley Killian. They had lived in the Benton City area since 1996.

He worked as an automobile mechanic, enjoying cars and especially hot rods. Aaron also enjoyed fishing and camping and most things outdoors.

He is survived by his wife, Kim Rivard; a son, Brad (Kami) Stills of Benton City; his parents, Victor and Donna Rivard of Mabton; two brothers, Rick (Janet) Rivard of Prosser and Chad (Lisa) of Benton City; four grandchildren, Auston Lane, Heaven Stills, Dylan Stills and Aaron Stills all of Benton City; numerous nieces and nephews; and his friend, Dale Weler.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

There will be a Celebration of Life held Saturday, Aug. 6, 2011, at 11 a.m. at the city park in Benton City, followed by tribute at The Palm Tavern, from 2 to 6 p.m. A private service will be held in Mabton at a later date.
