Washington State University names spring graduates

PULLMAN - Washington State University recently named the Lower Valley students who graduated with the 2011 spring class.

The graduates include four students from Sunnyside. They are Gerardo Samora Alvarez with a Bachelor of Arts in social studies, Joshua E. Barboza with a Bachelor of Arts in social sciences - cum laude, Hector Jaime Camacho with a Bachelor of Arts in social sciences and Matthew Allen Miller with a Bachelor of Science in architectural studies.

From Grandview, nine students graduated this past spring. Elizabeth Alcocer graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in criminal justice, Javier Alvarez earned a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology, Mary Jane Gustavson earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing, Araceli Mendoza graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in criminal justice, Stephanie Kaye Corus Schneegans graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in education, Crystal Spradlin earned an undergraduate certificate in child development and care, Jeremy Charles Stegeman graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in social studies, Esther Jeannette Villanueva earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing and Cassandra Lee Ziegler earned two Bachelor of Arts degrees, hospitality business management and business administration.

Mabton's Talisa G. Sotelo was among the graduates. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in criminal justice.

Two students from Granger graduated this past spring. Katharine Lou Nadia Holmstrom earned a Bachelor of Science degree in general studies-biological science and Samuel Robert Jochen earned a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering.

There were 10 students from Prosser who earned a Bachelor's degree this past spring. They include Kaley Dawn Adams (cum laude) in education, Marina Tome Doggett in human development with an undergraduate certificate in child development and care, Michelle Renee Dorsett (cum laude) in English, Trevor Dean Fox in business administration, Whitney Ann Grow (cum laude) in communications, Stephen Anthony Hayter in agricultural education, Kristopher Albert Moore (summa cum laude) in digital technology and culture, Rumalda G. Quiroz (cum laude) in education, Samantha Shannon Rachelle Smith (cum laude) in business administration and Robert Steven Thonney (magna cum laude) in animal sciences.
