Grandview tunes up car tab fee program

GRANDVIEW - In action last night, Tuesday, the Grandview City Council met as the city's transportation benefit district board to fine tune the program before $20 car tab fees are assessed starting next year.

Among the items approved last night is describing what vehicles are and are not subject to the fee.

For example, vehicles ranging from motor homes to trucks and passenger vehicles are all subject to the fee.

Campers, farm equipment, off road vehicles, government vehicles and mopeds are included on the list that's not subject to the fee.

In related action, council also approved an agreement with the Department of Licensing to collect the fee.
