The Lady Greyhounds had mixed results over the weekend, dropping a game to Ephrata before coming back to win against the Selah Vikings.
Friday at Ephrata the team struggled back from a 13-point deficit to lose the game by a single basket, 53-51. The defeat marked the first loss of the season for Grandview.
"We had a not-so-stellar second quarter," said Coach David Gibb. "But we battled through it and came back to almost win."
Saturday the team faced Selah at home, winning 69-64. The lead changed seven times in the game, with Grandview down by seven points.
Payton Parrish led her team, earning a double-double with 24 points and 19 rebounds. Marissa Caballero put in 19 points and had eight steals.
The Lady Greyhounds had a great second quarter, but it was a final push in the fourth that put them over the edge.
"It wasn't pretty, but we'll take it," said Gibbs. "Selah's a good ball club."
Grandview (1-1, 3-1) will play at Quincy Tuesday night and battle Othello at home on Saturday.
