Kenneth W. Coleman Sr., 75, of Sunnyside went to be in the arms of his Savior on Thursday, Dec. 15, 2011, at Toppenish Nursing Home.

Ken was born Nov. 16, 1936 in Hardin, Mo., the son of Raymond and May (Williams) Coleman. He with his family moved to Sunnyside in 1948.

Ken graduated from Sunnyside High School with the class of 1954.

He worked as a pipe fitter at the Hanford Project until he retired in 1996.

Ken's greatest joy was spending time with his family.

Ken is survived by his wife, Nita Coleman of Sunnyside; two daughters, Mary (Tom) Bos of Sunnyside and Sandy (Steve) Ward of Chehalis; four sons, Ken (Debbie) Coleman Jr. of Las Vegas, Nev., Jerry (Pam) Coleman of Granger, Larry (Colleen) Coleman of Sunnyside and Gary (Tiff) Coleman of Grandview; two stepdaughters, Mary Christen of Richland and Lisa Sciara of Spokane; one stepson, Mike (Peggy) Fine of Hermiston, Ore.; 24 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; one sister, Maxine (Don) Robertson and one brother, Don Coleman, both of Sunnyside.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister; two brothers; one grandson; and one great-granddaughter.

Viewing and visitation will be held today, Dec. 19, 2011, from 3 to 7 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home in Sunnyside. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2011, at 11 a.m. at Sunnyside Cemetery.
