William Jasper Cochran, 95, of Grandview died on Sunday, Dec. 25, 2011.

He was born on Sept. 2, 1916 to Grover and Gertie Cochran of Olney, AR.

He married Margaret Wills in 1936.

He was drafted and served in the U.S. Army until he was honorably discharged at the end of WWII.

He is survived by two sons, David Cochran of Pasco and John Cochran of Puyallup; one daughter, Corinn Root of Monument, Colo.; eight grandchildren, 18 great- grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Lower Valley Memorial Gardens in Sunnyside.

Smith Funeral Home LTD and Crematory in Sunnyside is in charge of arrangements.
