Katrina Rose Walsh, 66, of Bremerton passed away Thursday, Feb. 3, 2011, in Bremerton.

Ms. Walsh was born April 4, 1944 in Granbury, Texas to Ernest "Brownie" Henry Elsner and Opal Irene Davis Cogdell Elsner.

Katrina spent her very early childhood in Granbury. The family moved to Washington state in 1946 and then followed construction jobs for several years.

When Katrina was a teenager she lived in California and finished high school there.

She was married to Richard Ray Mielke and later to Richard Walsh.

Katrina and Richard "Dick" Mielke had two children, Rick and Shannon.

Katrina lived in Sunnyside for several years before moving to East Wenatchee. She lived in Poulsbo for the last few years.

Katrina loved her family, gardening, music and raising her animals.

She is survived by son, Rick (Trisha) Mielke of Poulsbo; three grandchildren, Kirsia, Tanis and Shalandreia; two great-grandchildren, Kristina and Joshua; one sister, Theresa Wiggins of Sunnyside; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceeded in death by her parents; her daughter, Shannon; and two brothers, Jimmie and Bill Cogdell.

Tuell-McKee Funeral Home in Bremerton is in charge of arrangements.
