Jesus Soto, 59, of Sunnyside went to meet with the Lord on Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2011, after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born Feb. 16, 1952 in San Juan del Rio, DGO,
He later married Juana Soto on Dec. 25, 1970.
In hopes for a better life for their kids in April 28, 1985 they decided to make Sunnyside their home, where he worked as a farm laborer.
He loved going to cook outs at the Mattawa River.
He enjoyed time with his family and spending most of his time in the little back yard farm that he had.
He had many friends that loved and respected him. He made many cloudy days shine like no other; somewhere and somehow he brought out his joker side of him. He always had a joke ready for anyone that was willing to listen. His good sense of humor made him an inviting person to want to be around with.
He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Juana Soto of Sunnyside; three sons, Manuel (Jessica) Soto and Lorenzo (Norma) Soto, both of Sunnyside, and Jesus Genaro (Brijida) Soto of Prosser; five daughters, Juana (Miguel) Juarez, Cecilia (Evaristo) Gonzalez, Teresa (Cirilo) Alvarado, Dolores Soto and Maria Guadalupe (Julio) Salas, all of Sunnyside; 22 grandchildren; three sisters, Maria E. Soto and Marta (Ruben) Cortez, both of Sunnyside and Eva Soto of Sinaloa, Mexico; and two brothers, Jose (Kati) Soto of Sunnyside and Maximino (Luz) Soto of Sinaloa, Mexico; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death and reunited in heaven before God with his parents, Abelino and Juana Soto; and two brothers, Lorenzo Soto and Jaime Soto
