EPHRATA - The Grandview Greyhounds continued their unblemished streak with a 77-47 victory over the Ephrata Tigers last night.
The 'Hounds started the game on Ephrata's hardwood with a 10-point lead in the first quarter (21-12), and in the second quarter held the momentum, leading 34-24 at halftime.
"The boys played hard the entire game," said Grandview Coach Roy Garcia.
He said, "The first half was close, but our boys really took charge in the second half."
Grandview opened the second half by outscoring Ephrata 21-14. The 'Hounds sealed the deal in the final quarter with a 22-9 run.
"We've played four consecutive road games, and the team is ready to play at home," said Garcia.
Greyhound Tony Vela led his team, scoring 21 points. Teammate Christian Schrank lobbed in another 17 points and 12 points were added to the scoreboard by Salvador Escobedo.
Vela also provided nine assists, and Schrank had eight boards.
Also scoring in double figures was Grandview's Adrian Reyes, with 11 points.
Ephrata's top shooter was Brad Christensen, who scored 24 points against the 'Hounds.
Grandview (10-0, 12-0) will host Selah this coming Friday and travels to Quincy on Saturday.
