GRANDVIEW - The Grandview Greyhounds seem unstoppable. They picked up two more wins this past weekend against Othello and East Valley.
The 'Hounds defeated the Huskies 74-43 last Friday, after opening the first quarter with a 13-point lead.
Grandview kept up its momentum, outscoring visiting Othello 17-8 in the second quarter.
The 'Hounds were just over 46 percent from the field in the first half, and shot 6-for-9 from the free throw line to open the game.
Grandview outscored the Huskies 34-25 in the final half of the game.
Grandview's Christian Schrank, Daniel Nielsen and Adrian Reyes combined for 48 points, each scoring 16 points. Schrank and Reyes each grabbed five balls from the glass, and Reyes also stole the ball from Othello eight times. Assisting the trio with five assists was teammate Tony Vela.
Saturday's game against East Valley was a little closer, but the 'Hounds came away with a 59-47 win against the Red Devils.
Grandview opened the game up with a six-point lead. The 'Hounds, however, let the Red Devils outscore them by two points in the second quarter. Grandview was holding the lead at 24-20 at halftime.
Grandview dominated the third quarter with 24 points. The Red Devils managed to get into double digits with 13 points.
Again, Grandview let off the pressure in the closing quarter, giving East Valley the opportunity to outscore the 'Hounds 14-11.
The early lead kept the 'Hounds from giving the Red Devils a win, however.
Nielsen was the leading scorer with 24 points. Vela scored 13 points and Schrank tossed in another 11 points.
Schrank also snatched six balls from the board, while Vela provided six assists.
Reyes contributed to the defense with eight steals.
Grandview's unblemished record is now 14-0 in league play, 16-0 overall. The 'Hounds next take on the Wildcats this coming Friday in Toppenish. Saturday, Grandview hosts Wapato.
