Sandra Ann Pina-Baeza, 49, of Fresno Calif. was granted her angel wings on Saturday, July 16, 2011.

She was born July 4, 1962 in Sunnyside to Pete Pina and Josephine Olivarez.

In 1975 she moved to Fresno, where she finished her education. She later moved back to the Yakima Valley and worked at China Grove in Sunnyside with her best friend Debbie, she also worked as a bank teller in Yakima.

She loved to volunteer for different causes such as AA and was an advocate for AIDS patients. Her goal was to become a counselor for drug and alcohol abuse.

Sandra was very outgoing and her heart was always open. She never met a stranger.

Sandra loved making jewelry and shopping if there was a bargain she found it.

Her great joys in life were her six grandchildren. She anticipated when they would be coming to visit and the hugs that always welcomed her.

Sandra is survived by her husband, Joseph Baeza of Fresno; her three daughters, Jennifer (Arnold) Salazar of Milwaukee, Wis., Priscilla Baeza and Stephanie Baeza of Fresno; two sons, Robert (Barbara) Trevino of Seattle and Joey (Angela) Baeza of Fresno; six grandchildren; brother, Richard Pina of Clovis, Calif.; three sisters, Norma Olivarez of Sunnyside, Genevive Pina of Fresno and Amy Pina of Vancouver.

She was preceded in death by her father, Pedro Pina; grandparents, Jenaro Olivarez and Natalia Olivares and Jose Pina and Guadalupe Pina

Viewing will be held Friday, July 22, 2011, from 6 to 8 p.m at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Sunnyside. Services will be held Saturday July 23, 2011, at 10:30 a.m. at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Sunnyside, with a Christian burial to follow at Lower Valley Memorial Gardens in Sunnyside.
