The Sunnyside School District will be serving its summer meals beginning next Monday, June 13.
Meals will be available free of charge to anyone 18-years-old and under at Harrison Middle School and the Sunnyside Community Center.
Breakfast will be served at 7:30 a.m. Monday, June 13, through Friday, July 22, at Harrison Middle School. Lunch, too, will be served at that school from June 13 through July 22 at 11:30 a.m.
The meals at the community center will consist of lunch only, between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Lunches will be available at the center from Monday, June 13, through Friday, Aug. 19.
Chief Kamiakin Elementary School will be another venue for children's summer meals. Breakfast will be served there at 7:30 a.m. and lunch at 11:30 a.m. beginning Monday, June 20. The Monday through Friday meals there will be served through Friday, July 22.
All Simplified Summer Food Program for Children meals will be made available at no charge to youngsters up to the age of 18. Meals are available without regard to race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability.
Adults interested in purchasing meals can do so at the cost of $2.25 for breakfast and $3.50 for lunch. Milk is included in the price.
All meal sites will be closed Monday, July 4, in observance of Independence Day.
