Lower Valley students graduate from the University of Washington

SEATTLE - The University of Washington in Seattle will host commencement ceremonies for the class of 2011 this coming Saturday, June 11.

Among those being recognized for earning degrees will be several Lower Valley students.

They include four students from Sunnyside. Jillian Lanelle Jetter will graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology-individual studies; Jaime Lopez Terrazas will receive a Bachelor of Science degree in construction management; Maria Belen Ramos graduates with a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering; and Kyle Burton Tyler has earned Bachelor of Science degrees in biochemistry and microbiology.

From Outlook, Benjamin Alan Kassebaum will graduate with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish-sisla.

Six students from Grandview will be among the graduating class, as well. They include Jodi Marie Jones with a Bachelor of Arts degree in interdisciplinary arts and sciences; Ashley Paola Lara earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in global studies; Kyla La Ree Leyendekker earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology and a Bachelor of Science degree in individualized studies; Danika Francisca Martinez will receive a Bachelor of Arts degree in social welfare; Magdalena Mildreth Martinez will graduate with a Bachelor of Arts degrees in international studies: Europe and political science; and James Paul Vela will receive a Bachelor of Science degree in biology: molec, cell & development.
