Family fun, swimming and more on tap at Grandview Christian Church

GRANDVIEW - Instead of its annual summer Vacation Bible School program, Grandview Christian Church is offering a program focusing on the whole family.

Called FamJam, the event will take place at the church on Saturday, June 25, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Grandview Christian Church is located at 310 Euclid, the corner of Fourth and Euclid in Grandview.

This year's FamJam has a sports theme called "Huddle Up," so participants are encouraged to wear their favorite team uniform or colors.

All families are invited to participate in games, snacks, face painting and music with the focus of encouraging family unity. This is not a drop-off-the-kids event, but a fun way to build family communication and teamwork.

Family fun continues the next day, Sunday, June 26. Following Grandview Christian's 10:30 a.m. worship service, the church has reserved the Westside Park BBQ shelter and the Grandview pool from 1 to 5 p.m. Grandview Christian is providing the meat, so those who wish to join in the BBQ fun are encouraged to bring a side dish for a potluck meal at 3 p.m.

On tap next month at the church are family game nights on the church lawn each Wednesday in July from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Refreshments will be provided.

All of the above activities are free and open to the public.
