Donations to wrestlers appreciated

I just wanted everyone to know that we are very happy that our local law enforcement, the Grandview Police, has donated to us some wrestling gear.

Our local non-profit wrestling club based out of Grandview, "Team Outlaw," consists of about 60 local area wrestlers, all ages 5 to high school. The team is headed by Coach Bob Johnson, Coach Juan Jimenez and myself, Coach Edgar Mendez.

We want to really take the time to appreciate the Grandview police for their effort in getting us a grant that has provided us with a wrestling dummy, 20 wrestling bags, jump ropes, stop watches and foam, all which helps us to develop and train our kids. We also received a much needed first aid kit, for when the team travels to tournaments.

The club is excited because throughout the year they have worked hard to raise money, by putting on their own wrestling tournaments, car washes and selling wine barrels.

We are really happy and blessed that our officers have supported us in obtaining the stuff we need to train and to get our kids to the next level. Contributions like these make our day because we all donate our time and efforts. Knowing that our local police department sponsors us is really appreciated.
