PROSSER - "In order to have a testimony to share there has to be a test and a lot of moaning," Becky Weber told the Lower Valley Christian Women's Connection earlier this week.
This past Tuesday's remarks came during the group's luncheon meeting.
Weber, who is from Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, had plenty to share with the Christian club members.
Among the tests she has experienced is a serious case of Lyme's Disease that threatened her life and left her unable to walk.
Weber's case was so serious that doctors said she would never regain the use of her leg muscles. "I refused to receive that report," she said.
Crediting God's help and prayer, Weber said it took her five years to learn to walk again. "Trusting in Jesus as my healer was my only relief," she said.
She says it started with small, painful walks in her neighborhood and today she can walk for up to 45 minutes.
The endurance needed to walk again and have freedom of movement "came from God's grace, not willpower," said Weber.
Overcoming illness, pain and even marital troubles all happened because of God's faithfulness, Weber told the lunch crowd.
"God doesn't cause our problems, but He has all the answers for our problems," she said. "God never promised a trouble-free life, but He promises to walk with us through whatever situations we face in our life."
