Saturday, July 9, community members will have a chance to see and hear firsthand what the Sunnyside police and fire departments do.
A public safety fair is planned for that date from 9 a.m. to noon at the Sunnyside Law and Justice Center.
Community members will have the opportunity to look inside each of the emergency vehicles used for ensuring public safety.
The community members attending the event will also have the opportunity to meet officers and firefighters, including the city's K-9 Officer Helios.
Also, those at the event can try on SWAT equipment.
